hth®​ Calcium Hypochlorite is one of the world’s leading brands of dry chlorine. Our products are available in a variety of pack sizes, in a choice of granular or briquette form and as a standard or easiflo® option (with an additional anti-scale feature to limit the maintenance of equipment and feeding systems).

​Briquettes are dosed via dedicated feeder systems.
​Granular products are generally dosed manually via a dissolving tank equipped with a mixing device. ​​

STABILISER - FREE CHLORINE

• With a low pH, hth® Calcium Hypochlorite can achieve a saving of up to 50% on pH correction costs
• Provides a low level of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and therefore helps reduce plant corrosion
• Contains less salts than many alternative sanitisers - reducing the requirement, time and energy of costly water dilution
• Suitable for hard and soft water conditions and has added calcium to help prevent grout loss
• Requires no bulk storage tanks or secondary containment
• 30 month shelf life when stored appropriately
• Smaller pack sizes limit manual handling and storage issues, good for sites with limited access

Stabilised or Stabiliser-Free Chlorine?​

Chlorine sanitisers with a built-in stabiliser - such as Cyanuric Acid, prevent loss of chlorine due to sunlight (UV) and so prolong its effective life. However if stabiliser levels are not kept under control and exceed certain parameters the chlorine remains ‘locked’ and becomes ineffective. This phenomenon is called 'over-stabilisation' and can lead to public health issues, cloudy water and perfect conditions for algae blooms (water turning green within hours).
 
Your choice of sanitiser depends on such factors as whether your pool is indoor or outdoor - sheltered or under glass, the properties of the local water supply - hard or a soft water and the amount of time you are able to devote to pool maintenance.

hth® Briquettes are the ideal partner for our range of hth® easiflo® chlorine feeders which are suitable for almost any size of pool, and are designed to solve issues generally associated with pumps, tanks and agitator based systems (like improper dissolving of the product, inconsistent chlorine strength of the prepared solution, etc.).

STABILISED CHLORINE

hth® stabilised chlorine products are based on TCCA (Trichlorisocyanuric acid) or SDCC (Sodium dichloroisocyanurate dyhydrate). These water treatment products are especially useful in outdoor pools where the built-in stabilising features of cyanuric acid reduces chlorine consumption from UV radiation (sunlight). The range includes multifunctional sanitation products, including treatments which provide algae control.​
