Prevention is the best Cure

Even when pool water is disinfected and balanced it is still affected by the bather load, wind, air pollution, insects, surrounding vegetation and the ambient temperature. These factors can cause the water to become cloudy or turn green. If algae gets into the pool, or if there are tiny suspended particles in the water, it can spoil the appearance and water quality. The best way to prevent this happening is by occasional use of specially developed chemicals such as algaecides and water clarifiers plus regular poolside cleaning and maintenance.

ALGEACIDES

hth® branded algaecides based on polymerised quaternary ammonium compounds (Polyquats) provide solutions for prevention and remedial treatment of algae.

FLOCCULANT

Fine particles suspended in water that cannot be retained by the filter, make the water cloudy. Flocculant products help particle aggregation, the process by which suspended colloids clump together and come out of suspension as a floc. These large amounts of debris then collect at the bottom of the pool to be vacuumed.

DEGREASERS, DESCALERS & CLEANERS

Cleaning oily deposits along the water line, mould and algae from tile joints and de-scaling the filter not only improves the appearance of the pool, but perhaps more importantly removes potential breeding sites for micro-organisms.
